Wanted to share and celebrate with you parts of my weekend. I am happy to say that all but ONE cheat meal, I kept it clean and gluten free! If you know me, you know food is my addiction and drug of choice. Wheat and gluten does NOT agree with my body, and has addictive qualities which makes it hard to give up. I had withdrawal effects earlier this week (headaches, cravings etc). I just focused and thought about what it would do to my body if I were to eat wheat and stood strong.
Its a good feeling to wake up today and NOT feel like a bloated, food baby pregnant balloon. Now, on to the next goal. I'm going to clean up my food a lot this week, keeping it simple with chicken and veggies and some of my favorite reset meals. I also travel a lot for work, so I'm going to be bringing my own dressing to lunches to have with salads, so I can keep it clean as possible. I have Halloween this weekend, and NOLA in 3 weeks. Time to get serious!
It's important to celebrate these tiny achievements and to set new goals to strive for.
Check out some of my favorite GO TO QUICK meals.
Cauliflower pizza with fresh tomatoes, garlic, and mozzarella cheese.
Chicken, stir fry veggies and kale salad with feta cheese.
Eggs, peppers, onions with Braggs and sweet potatoes doused in herbs.
